Another embassy-related problem from Bangladesh:

Hello, I am a citizen from Bangladesh. I was admitted to LUT last year but couldn't attend because the embassy in New Delhi was closed and because of the new legislation, we couldn't go to another embassy like before. Therefore, I was forced to postpone.

This year, I applied early in February but the embassy in New Delhi never contacted me for an appointment date in 2 months even though some students got their appointment dates within 4-5 days . I contacted them 2-3 times, and every time they told me to wait for their email.

Now because of the dire situation in India, the embassy has closed down again and seeing the dire situation there I am guessing 2020 will repeat itself. So I sent an email to the Foreign ministry, Migri and the Finnish embassies in our neighboring countries(Malaysia, Bangkok and Nepal) but they refused to grant any help for us saying "The Finnish Consular Act as well as the Decree no 613/2015 of the President of the Republic of Finland defines the operating areas of the Finnish embassies".

In short, they will not provide any assistance and abandon us again. They also cited the principle of equality for not lending any assistance to our region which seemed like a cruel joke to me, I heard one person's account of acquiring his first RP in only 9 days and on the other hand, there are many students like me who have been waiting for months for an appointment date. How can this be called equality? We only ask for lifting this somewhat recent decree and decentralizing the system temporarily so that we can go to our classes this year.
